Bhadrachalam, Nov 16 : Normal life remained paralysed for the second consecutive day on Saturday following the 72-hour bandh call given by the pro-Telangana groups opposing the proposal to merge Bhadrachalam division with Seemandhra region after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
While the pro-Telangana activists staged rasta-roko and dharnas at several places, the public transport was badly hit with activists not allowing the RTC to ply 118 buses from the depot. A majority of shops, business establishments and educational institutions too remained closed. The activists are demanding that Bhadrachalam remain part of Telangana State after the State’s division. All political parties have also called for Khammam bandh on November 19 to press for the demand. INN
