Hyderabad, Nov 14 : Congress MP from Karimnagar Ponnam Prabhakar on Thursday slammed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for taking a stand against Telangana formation.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Ponnam said that Naidu’s claims that he was not against Telangana got exposed after he boycotted the meeting with Group of Ministers (GoM). He said that it was Naidu who was asking the Centre to convene an all-party meeting. However, when the meeting was called, Naidu was the only one who abstained from it.
Ponnam also condemned Naidu’s reported remarks against AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi. He said that Naidu should look at the inefficiency of his son Lokesh to whom he is trying to impose upon in the Telugu Desam Party. He said that the TDP chief was under depression and had lost control over his words.
The Karimnagar MP said that Telangana was almost a reality and reports being sent by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy or PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana would not be able to prevent its formation. INN
