Vizianagaram, Oct 22 : Former minister and TDP senior leader P Ashok Gajapathi Raju staged a sit-in protest when he was allegedly stopped by the local police from entering into Paidithalli Ammavari temple here on Tuesday.
It could not be ascertained as to why the police obstructed Gajapathi Raju’s entry into the temple although he is also the local MLA. He went to the temple to offer prayers to the Goddess on the eve of “Paidithalli Ammavaari Sirimanostavam’, which is celebrated on the first Tuesday passing Vijayadasami.
Felt insulted by the action of the police, Ashok Gajapathi Raju, along with his supporters, staged a sit-in protest at the temple. INN
