Ex-minister Viswaroop to join YSRCP on Oct 18

Hyderabad, Oct 9 : Former minister P Viswaroop will join the YSR Congress Party on October 18.

Speaking to reporters after meeting YSR Congress Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy at Lotus Pond here, Viswaroop said that he, along with his supporters, would formally join the party on October 18. He announced his support for Jagan’s indefinite hunger fast in protest against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He also said that he would vote against the Telangana Resolution in the State Legislative Assembly.

It may be mentioned that Viswaroop submitted his resignation to Governor ESL Narasimhan on September 26 in protest against the Centre’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to carve out Telangana. However, his resignation was accepted on September 28 after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy gave nod for the same. INN
