Hyderabad, August 12: Stating that elections for Parliament and Assembly may be held in the next six to seven months, MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi asked his party cadre to gear up to register a massive victory.
Addressing the partymen during the Eid-Milaap function at MIM headquarters Darulsalam on Sunday night, Asauddin Owaisi said that the MIM would certainly win the elections. However, he said that this time the margin of victory should be higher compared to last elections. Therefore, he said that efforts should be made to increase the percentage of polling in next elections. To begin with, he said all eligible persons should be enlisted in the voters’ list.
The MIM chief announced that besides Hyderabad Lok Sabha and seven Assembly segments that the party holds now, the party would field candidates from other constituencies across the State.
Asaduddin Owaisi condemned cine-star and TDP leader Balakrishna for meeting Gujarat Chief Minister Balakrishna during former’s visit to the city on Sunday. He said although the TDP claims itself to be a secular party, its leaders were inclined towards making friendship with those responsible for killing of hundreds of innocents during communal riots.
The Eid-Milaap function was attended by MIM legislators including Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Muqtada Afsar Khan, Mohammad Maozam Khan, Ahmed Balala and Syed Amin-ul-Hasan Jafri, GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain and others.
