Two persons commit suicide against AP’s bifurcation

Hyderabad, July 31 : Two persons allegedly committed suicide in protest against the Centre’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to create Telangana.

Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Tatipudi in Vizianagaram district committed suicide by consuming pesticides. Srinivas was a home-guard in II-police station. In another case, a student from Tenali allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a hotel in Gunture district.

In separate cases two more persons tried to commit suicide in favour of united Andhra Pradesh. Police prevented a student from setting himself ablaze in Ananthapur on Wednesday. INN
