Hyderabad, July 30 : Stating that the Congress party could not be trusted immediately, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Tuesday advised the people not to organise celebrations if the Congress Working Committee announces formation of Telangana State.
Talking to reporters after meeting State BJP leaders including State President G Kishan Reddy, Kodandaram said that the TPJAC would continue with its agitation till the formation of Telangana and would not halt its activities on mere announcement by the CWC or any panel. “We will continue our struggle till the goal is permanently achievement,” he said.
Kondandaram said that the TPJAC would go ahead with its Maha Dharna on August 1 and asked people to participate in large numbers.
BJP floor leader E Lakshminarayana, who announced his party’s support to the TPJAC’s Maha Dharna, said that the pro-Telangana groups would not agree for anything less than a Telangana State with 10 districts including Hyderabad as its capital. He also demanded that the UPA Government introduce Telangana Bill in the Parliament in the ensuing session. INN
