Ponguleti slams TDP for claiming victory in PR polls

Hyderabad, July 24 : Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Wednesday accused the Telugu Desam Party of making false claims of victory in the first phase of Panchayat elections.

Talking to reporters in the Congress Legislature Party office here, Sudkhakar Reddy said that the Panchayat elections were not held on party symbol. Therefore, the TDP was trying to take advantage of the same by claiming that a majority of winners belonged to their party.

Speaking about meeting of Seemandhra ministers, Sudhakar Reddy said that the Seemandhra leaders were trying to cause obstructions in the formation of Telangana State. However, he hoped that the Congress High Command would take a decision in favour of Telangana in near future. INN
