MBBS, BDS counseling begins

Hyderabad/Vijayawada, July 22 : The counseling for filling 4,380 MBBS and 1,266 BDS seats in the convener quota in various government and private colleges began on Monday at four centres – Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

While the Dr. NTR University would fill the ‘Convener Quota’ seats out of the total 6,200 MBBS and 1,980 BDS, the remaining C – Category (Management seats) would be filled by the individual institutions. The University authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the counseling which would continue till July 29.

Meanwhile, the activists of PDSU and SFI staged dharna at the counseling centre at Vijayawada demanding that the C-Category seats be filled as per the merit. INN
