Hyderabad, July 20 : The India Meteorological Department on Saturday issued a heavy rainfall warning for several districts across Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
Heavy to very heavy rain would occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda and Medak of Telangana and in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari of Coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 48 hours. Heavy rain would occur at isolated places in all districts of Rayalaseema and in the remaining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the same period, the Met Department said.
According to the IMD Incharge Director G Sudhakar Rao, the South West Monsoon has been active over Telangana and Rayalaseema. The low pressure area lives over North-West Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast. Associated Upper Air Cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 KM above sea-level tilting South Wards with height. Yesterday’s trough on sea-level chart runs from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh persist. INN
