Hyderabad, July 10 : The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today reviewed the proposed “Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme” (CMEGP), which may be a part of forth-coming six-lakh self-employed jobs to be created for SC, ST, BC, Minority youth and said that separate expert team may be formed to guide, which self-employment scheme to be taken up by them.
The Chief Minister stated that there should be integration and co-ordination between all line departments in selection of beneficiaries through transparent and common guidelines. The Chief Minister has suggested to take the support of “Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu” team in training and identifying the scheme etc.
Kiran Kumar Reddy also reviewed the Food Processing Sector in the State and suggested to take up a comprehensive market study for the value addition to help the farmer to get good remunerative price in Tomato processing, Turmeric processing, Fish and Prawns processed foods in storage, packaging, transport and marketing. The Chief Minister directed the Officials to find out the gaps in marketing and to take necessary steps to fill up them.
