BJP leaders pay tributes to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee

Hyderabad, July 6 : While paying tributes to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on the occasion of his 102nd Jayanti at state party office on Saturday, Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu has said that Dr Mukherjee became martyr for the sake of unity and integrity of the country.

“His martyrdom resulted in abolition of ‘Do Pradhan – Do Nishan’ and also brought the state of J&K under the purview of Supreme Court, Election Commission and C&AG. The real tribute to Dr Mukherjee will be only when the Art.370 is abrogated in Kashmir and called upon the cadres to create awareness among the people over this,” Venkaiah said.

BJP State President G Kishan Reddy asked the party cadre to follow the teachings and preachings of Dr Mukherjee and called upon them to always remember the path ‘nation first, party next and self last’ shown by Dr Mukherjee in their endeavor.

Senior leaders including Bandaru Dattatreya, N. Indrasena Redy, Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, P. Muralidhar Rao and Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy were among those who were present in the programme. INN
