Hyderabad, June 25 : The State of Andhra Pradesh has won a prestigious award presented by the Institute for Competitiveness and Mint Business Newspaper.
Minister for Major Industries, Sugars, Commerce and Export Promotion, Government of Andhra Pradesh Dr. J Geeta Reddy will receive this prestigious award on behalf of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The Institute for Competitiveness evaluates all the Indian States on several Macroeconomic Parameters in order to identify their prosperity levels and their contribution in the country’s growth. These awards celebrate the success of Indian States, based on their performance and development in the past year.
Institute for Competitiveness, India is the Indian knot in the global network of Michael Porter’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School. Mint is a business paper from Hindustan Times group printed in association with The Wall Street Journal.
Andhra Pradesh emerged as the Most Competitive Investment driven Economy in the country. It outshined in the category and proved itself the best. It ranked first in context for strategy and factor conditions. It has the best administrative environment, well-defined human capacity and lot of scope for innovation. The emerging cities of the State also play a crucial role in transforming it as the investment destination. The State holds a high potential to grow further and give a tough to other States in different categories.
This is the second year in succession that Andhra Pradesh has won this prestigious award.
The award will be presented on June 26 by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, M Hamid Ansari at a ceremony in New Delhi. INN
