Hyderabad, June 23 : The State Government has decided to pay Rs 2,000 each to the pilgrims of Andhra Pradesh who were affected due to floods.
In addition to the quality food, accommodation and medical assistance being provided to the pilgrims returning from Chardham who suffered due to sudden floods at free of cost, the government has also decided to give Rs 2,000 towards immediate relief for purchase of clothing and to meet other incidental expenses to those who are in need of assistance.
In a memo issued by Chief Secretary PK Mohanty on Sunday, the Resident Commissioner of AP Bhavan has been asked to take necessary immediate action for disbursement of Rs 2,000 each to the flood-hit pilgrims. INN
