Hyderabad, June 21 : As many as 42.10 per cent of candidates have passed the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations for 2nd year held in May/June 2013.
Announcing the results here on Friday, Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathy informed that a total of 2,91,698 General and 28,650 vocational candidates appeared for the examinations. In General Category, only 23 candidates got A Grade, 105 got B Grade, 153 got C Grade, 182 got D Grade and 1,22,344 passed compartmentally.
The pass percentage of Vocational candidates was 36.19 per cent.
After the declaration of supplementary exams results, the cumulative pass percentage, including regular candidates passed in March 2013, is 81.28 per cent for General and 63.35 per cent for Vocational.
In supplementary exams too, girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 46.68 per cent compared to boys’ 39.77 per cent.
The Minister informed that a total of 184 cases of malpractice were booked during supplementary exams and the results of 122 General and 183 Vocational candidates have been withheld.
The Principals have been asked to collect Memoranda of Marks and Tabulation Records from the Regional Inspection Officers on June 27 and see that the Memoranda of Marks are given to the candidates at the earliest.
Discrepancies if any, found in the Memoranda of Marks should be referred to the Board through Principals concerned before July 20. Applications received after this date will not be entertained.
Talking to reporters later, the minister said that the government plans to impose fine against the private unrecognised schools instead of closing them. He said that the students studying in such unrecognized schools were being treated as private candidates and not regular. INN
