KCR calls for Telangana Bandh on Saturday

Hyderabad, June 14: In protest against the State Government’s role in foiling the Chalo Assembly rally, TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao gave a call for observing Telangana Bandh on Saturday.

Alleging government’s repression, KCR said that the government tried to suppress the demand for Telangana by resorting to indiscriminate arrests, both before and during the rally. He condemned the arrest of TPJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram and other TRS leaders. Demanding the release of all leaders and workers, he described all the arrests made by police as undemocratic.

In a statement, KCR appealed to the people to participate in the Telangana Bandh on Saturday in protest against the government’s attitude and police behaviour.
