City Police to impose Section 144 from Thursday

Hyderabad, June 12 : City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma on Wednesday ordered the imposition of Section 144 in the city limits from June 13 to 15th.

“Reliable information has been placed before me that some unsocial elements under the guise of agitators are planning to cause harm to the person and public properties and trying to create disturbances affecting public peace and order in Hyderabad City,” the Commissioner said in his order. Therefore, under Section 144, he prohibited every kind of procession, dharna, rally or public meetings and prohibited any individual/groups of individuals from making any speech, gesture or displaying pictures, symbols, placards, flags etc., which is likely to create animosity or hatred between different communities or individuals or is likely to cause disturbance to the public peace and order in the limits of Hyderabad City.

However, Friday prayers on June 14th have been exempted from this order. INN
