Nalgonda, June 11 : Former minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Tuesday indicated that he might quit the Congress party soon.
Addressing the mandal Congress party workers at Kanagal here, Komatireddy said that he would announce his future course of action if the Congress president Sonia Gandhi fails to fulfil the promise of giving statehood for Telangana region. Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy and other senior leaders were present on the dais when Komatireddy delivered his speech.
Earlier, addressing the workers, Komatireddy praised former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and described him as his Guru (mentor). He said that it was YSR who encouraged him in politics and selected him for the cabinet minister’s post out of seven MLAs in the district. INN
