Khammam, May 31: The Khammam Police on Friday registered a case against Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for his alleged derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
The case has been registered in the Town II Police Station on the directions of the First Class Magistrate Court of Khammam. The orders were issued by the court following a petition filed by an advocate, Gollapalli Rama Rao.
The petitioner alleged that KCR has made statement demeaning the office of the Prime Minister wherein he stated that a “Chaprasi” (peon) in Parliament was more intelligent that the Prime Minister. Admitting the petition, the court had directed the police to file a case against KCR and probe into the allegations.
