Hyderabad, May 28 : Rajya Sabha MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy on Tuesday accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Reddy of lacking commitment towards the Telangana cause.
Talking to reporters here, Palvai said that KCR lacked commitment and determination to achieve statehood for Telangana region. He said formation of Telangana State was possible only if KCR was defeated in the elections. He also accused the Telugu Desam Party leaders of lacking sincerity towards Telangana.
However, Palvai indirectly defended the Telangana Congress MPs’ decision to join the TRS. He said they were leaving the party only due to the delay in the decision on Telangana by the Centre.
The Congress MP also ridiculed the promises made by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu during his Vastunna Mee Kosam padayatra. He said that the promises were not only unrealistic, but it would require a whopping Rs 2 lakh crore to fulfill them. INN
