Guv accepts Dharmana, Sabitha’s resignations

Hyderabad, May 26 : Governor ESL Narasimhan on Sunday accepted the resignations of minsters B Dharmana Prasada Rao and P Sabitha Indira Reddy.

It may be mentioned that Dharmana had resigned from the post on April 13 last year after he was named as an accused in Disproportionate Assets case (Vanpic issue) of YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, his resignation was rejected by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Similarly, the CBI named Sabitha Indira Reddy as an accused in its chargesheet filed on April 8 this.

Following intervention of the Congress High Command, both the ministers were asked to resign on May 19. Both submitted their resignations to the Chief Minister and they have been accepted by the Governor on Sunday. INN
