Hyderabad, May 21 : YSR Congress has demanded the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to spell out the government stand on the 26 GOs and be categorical if they were issued as per the business rules or if there was any deviation.
“Dharmana Prasada Rao said that the GOs were issued on merit and according to the Government policy and YS Rajasekhar Reddy did not influence any one of them in issuing the GOs. In such a case why were the two ministers dropped, more so when Telugu Desam Party leader N Chandrababu Naidu went vociferous on the demand,” party Deputy Leader Sobha Nagi Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday.
Going by the developments it seems that TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu is dictating terms to the Congress government.
“On one hand the government files an affidavit stating that the 26 GOs are in order yet action is initiated against two ministers after Naidu goes to Delhi seeking the removal of the ministers. This only establishes that the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government is heavily dependent on TDP and it will comply with whatever Naidu tells, she said.
“When the two ministers had put in their papers long back, the State Government initiating action after Naidu makes a demand in Delhi gives a picture of who is dictating whom and why,” she said.
When Naidu faced similar allegations, he said that the decision of issuing the GO was taken by an elected government and cannot be questioned. He has also issued orders for IMG Bharatha while he was care-taker government at a throw away price.
Yet he advocates that the ministers should be sacked and the Chief Minister meekly obliges.
The resignation of Dharmana Prasada Rao was initially not accepted and the cabinet took a decision not to allow any prosecution and the state agreed to bear the legal expenses as well. Suddenly the Kiran Kumar Reddy government takes the papers of the two ministers in a huff while Naidu makes it an issue with the Governor and the President.
“Whether the state wants to give the credit of the ministers’ ouster to Naidu or if the TDP leader has dictated the path with an assurance that the Kiran Kumar Reddy government will not be toppled, the State took the decision as if to appease Naidu, “she said.
This only shows that the two parties are in clear understanding and want to jointly fight the common adversary YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
If Naidu was so stern about it he did not raise the issue earlier and even did not extend support to the No Confidence Motion moved by us. While he was hitting out hard on the State Government during his padayatra, he did not extend support to the no trust vote moved by smaller other opposition parties. Naidu even issued a whip not to vote in favour of the motion.
This shows that he is on a Save Congress mission. The Chief Minister should answer as to why the resignations were taken when the government has argued that the GOs were in order.
She also lashed out the TDP leaders who were saying that YSRCP lacks leadership. Senior leaders form TDP coming out of the party is an indication of the strength and credibility of Naidu, she said. INN
