Hyderabad, May 20 : The Second all Party Meeting on Babli Barrage Judgement held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy here at Secretariat this afternoon, unanimously decided to seek Review/Clarification from Supreme Court of India to further safeguard the interests of Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister also suggested the All Party leaders, whoever having good knowledge and interest may accompany the Major Irrigation Minister P Sudarsan Reddy to Delhi for review/ clarification and also agreed to utilize the services of Senior Supreme Advocate for this appeal suggested by the Opposition Party Leaders.
The Chief Minister has opined that after receipt of a favourable direction from Supreme Court on the Review/Clarification the State Government will request the Government of India for a Joint meeting with Maharashtra Government on this issue.
The Chief Minister and all the leaders strongly opined unanimously that the Supervisory Committee for the Compliance of Judgement should be empowered with executive powers for implementation of its directives. The meeting has also opined that in case of defiance/violances of directives of Committee, stringent penalty need to be levied as determined by Supreme Court.
The Chief Minister agreed to add suitable suggestions from all party leaders on the Review/Clarification appeal proposal and directed the officials accordingly.

The Chief Minister opined that the executive powers and authorities to the Supervisory committee should flow from Parliament for effective enforcement of implementation of the judgement.
CM’s directive to officials
The Chief Minister has directed the officials to convene an all party meeting on the “Final Agreement proposed with Maharashtra Government” on Pranahita-Chevella Project for sharing the information and to take suggestions.
TDP, TRS leaders appreciate CM for Kantanapally Porject
The TDP and TRS leaders appreciated and complimented the Chief Minister for taking up the Kanthanapally Project and requested him to direct the officials to speed up the works.
The Chief Minister has also directed the officials to send the status report to Government on all the inter-state projects, wherever the waters are being shared between out State and other States. The Chief Minister has also agreed to review the important projects, progress on project by project basis at a high level meeting to be convened soon. INN
