Hyderabad, May 19: Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Sunday threatened to file a defamation case against the suspended leader Raghunandan Rao.
Addressing a press conference here, KTR said that the TRS would not tolerate wild and baseless allegations being leveled against the party and its leadership by Raghunandan Rao. He said that the party would take stern legal action against Raghunandan Rao for his comments and remarks against the TRS leadership.
The Sircilla MLA clarified that Raghunandan Rao was suspended from TRS following his indulgence in anti-party activities and on information that he was planning to switch loyalties to another party. He also slammed a section of media for trying to blow up the issue out of proportion.
KTR also demanded that the State Government set up a separate ministry on the lines of Kerela to help those who are working in Gulf countries. Accusing the government of failure to rescue the workers trapped in legal tangles in Gulf countries, he demanded creation of Rs 500 crore fund to help them.
