Hyderabdad, April 29 : The foundation stones will be laid for the works pertaining to Tolichowki flyover, Moghal ka Nala and Kishan Bagh nala in the second week of May.
GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain along with GHMC Commissioner M T Krishna Babu, Engineer-in-Chief R Dhan Singh and senior engineering officials held a review meeting on projects in his chambers today. While interacting with the officials, the Mayor enquired about the proposals pending with the government with regard to projects. He further questioned the works pertaining to Bilal Nagar bridge, reasons for delay of work at Kandikal Gate and delay in remodeling of muriki nala and directed the Engineer-in-Chief to expedite the works on priority basis. He further directed the Engineer-in-Chief to furnish the list of works which are delayed on the ground. Referring to the G.O issued by the Government for Rs. 222 crores for nalas, he directed Engineer-in-Chief that the works should be tendered on priority.
The GHMC Commissioner briefed the Mayor about the meeting held with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today about various projects of GHMC and said that the Chief Minister has agreed for the proposal of separate land acquisition unit for nalas and further directed the Finance wing to sort out the issue at the earliest. The Commissioner further stated that the Chief Minister has also agreed for enhancement of tender premium from 5 per cent to 10 per cent and also agreed to provide one house in JNNURM Housing Scheme to the people who are affected in road widening.
