Congress MLA refutes allegations of drunken driving

Hyderabad, April 22 : Congress MLA Avanthi Srinivas on Monday refuted the allegations that he was indulged in drunken driving.

Speaking to media persons after submitting a complaint against Hyderabad Police, Srinivas alleged that the Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills police personnel crossed their limits by levelling allegations that he was driving the vehicle in an inebriated condition. He said that the police personnel created a scene to defame him by calling the media.

The Congress MLA also alleged that the media believed the police version without searching for the facts. He requested the Speaker to order an enquiry into the incident and take action against the guilty police officials. INN
