V S Rama Devi no more

Bengaluru, April 17 : Former Karnataka Governor VS Rama Devi died here today old age.

She was 79. Born in Chebrolu of West Godavari district, Rama Devi went on to become the first woman Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) in 1990.

She was also member of the Law Commission. She wrote some novel and essays in Telugu.

Rama Devi was Governor of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. INN
