Hyderabad, April 17 : Congress MLC P Venkat Rao ridiculed the statement of some cabinet ministers wherein they disowned responsibility for issuing controversial GOs.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, Venkat Rao said that the ministers were individually responsible for issuing the GOs. He was speaking with reference to the issue of Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy who has been named as an accused by the CBI in the disproportionate assets case of Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that no minister could be forced to sign a GO and there was also a provision to express dissent during cabinet meetings.
Speaking about the TRS luring Congress MPs to join its fold, Venkat Rao said that such moves reflect the fall of morals in politics. He said the elected representatives should first approach the people before leaving the party on whose ticket they got elected. INN
