Left Parties gear up for hunger strike over power tariff

Hyderabad, March 31 : The Left Parties will conduct hunger strike at Hyderabad District Collectorate on Monday over the proposed hike in power tariff.

CPI state Secretary Dr K Narayana, CPI-M State Secretary B V Raghavulu and leaders of other Left parties will participate in the hunger strike. This protest would be a prelude to the State bandh call given by the Left parties on April 9.

Talking to reporters here, Narayana said that the hike would affect all sections of the society and would put an additional burden of Rs. 6,700 crores on the people. INN
