Hyderabad, January 16 : Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy on Wednesday appealed to the Seemandhra leaders to agree for amicable separation of two Telugu speaking regions.
Talking to reporters at his chambers in the State Secretariat along with four other ministers – D Sridhar Babu, Ponnala Laxmaih, B Saraiah and G Prasad Kumar, the Panchayat Raj Minister said that the State’s bifurcation should be treated like the separation of two brothers in a family over some disputes. He said despite division, the Telugu speaking people could still remain one.
Jana Reddy made it clear that the Telangana leaders would not agree for anything less than formation of Telangana State. He appealed the leaders from both the regions to restrain from giving provocative statements on the issue.
