Adilabad, Dec 8 : TDP MP Sujana Chowdhary on Saturday called on party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to give his version of skipping the voting on the crucial FDI issue in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.
Talking to reporters later, Chowdhary dismissed the allegations being leveled against him and two other MPs of them having secret understanding with the Congress-led UPA Government. He said that the decision to skip the voting was neither planned nor intended to support the UPA as it already had required numbers to defeat the motion against FDI. He said he began his political career with the Telugu Desam Party and always believed in moral and ethics. Therefore, suspecting his intentions behind skipping the voting was wrong, he said.
However, Chowdhary said that skipping the voting has done damage to the party and therefore, he gave his version to the party chief. He said he was ready to face any action that Naidu may deem fit.
