Ration Card not required for scholarships: State Govt

Hyderabad, Nov 19 : The Social Welfare Department of the State Government on Monday informed that the students could apply for a scholarship with or without a Ration Card.

In a press release, Social Welfare Principal Secretary J Raymond Peter said that in view of representations from a large number of students that they do not have Ration Cards, it has been decided to relax the submission of Ration Card particulars. However, the students have been advised to secure an Aadhar Card immediately to ensure sanction of scholarships.
