TRS enrolls record 3,500 members in one hour at Old City HQ

Hyderabad, Feb 15 (INN): The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Sunday claimed that it was all set to emerge as the strongest party in the Old City of Hyderabad with highest number of registered members.

In a media statement, TRS senior leader Rashid Shareef claimed that the TRS membership drive in the Old City has been receiving tremendous response and so far, thousands of people have enrolled themselves both as Primary and Active members. “We have enrolled 3,500 members in just one hour of launching of special membership drive at TRS Bhavan, the Old City headquarters of our party. Deputy Chief Mahmood Ali launched the drive at about 5.30 PM on Sunday and by 6.30 PM, a total of 3,500 new members completed their enrolment,” he informed.

The Deputy Chief Minister directly supervised the membership drive and handed over the membership slips to the new members. He announced that besides giving an identity card, the new members would also be given an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh.

“Encouraged by the tremendous response, we have decided to keep the TRS Old City headquarters 24×7 till February 20 to facilitate enrollment of new members,” said Rashid Shareef. He claimed that this weekend, from 13th to 15th February, turned out to be a super weekend for the TRS in the Old City with the party enrolling thousands of new members. Impressed with the welfare schemes being implemented by the TRS Government, thousands of people are joining the party, he said.

Rashid Shareef said that the TRS already got the distinction of being the only political party with a dedicated headquarters in the Old City and soon it would be the party with highest number of members. He said those interested in joining the party may visit the TRS Bhavan at Etebar Chowk on Mir Alam Mandi Road in the Old City at any time till February 20.
