Four killed in train accidents

Hyderabad, Jan 26 (INN): Four persons, including one woman, were killed after they were hit by trains at different places in the city. Of them, three accidents occurred in the limits of Nampally Railway Police on Monday morning.

An unidentified man of about 60-year-old died on the spot after he was hit by a train near Lingampally Railway Station. His body has been preserved at the Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem and identification. In another case, 45-year-old M Bhimamma died instantaneously when she was hit by a train near Sanathnagar Railway Station. She was a resident of Kukatpally. In a similar case, V Ramulu, 50, died on the spot after being hit by a train near his residence at Khairtabad Railway Station.

In a different case, A Srinivasulu, 48, died on the spot after he was hit by a train near Secunderabad Railway Station on Sunday evening. He was a contract employee of Vidyuth Saudha and resident of Neredment, according to Secunderabad Railway Police.

Financial problems drive man to suicide

A 40-year-old man committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling allegedly due to financial problems.

According to Kukatpally police, the deceased, G Balaiah, took the extreme step at his residence in Kukatpally on Sunday night. He reportedly borrowed Rs 1 lakh loan from some known friends. His failure to return the loan on time is suspected to have driven him to suicide.

Labourer’s body retrieved from lake

The Sanathnagar police on Monday retrieved the body of a 25-year-old man from Sunnam Cheruvu.

The deceased was later identified as S Kashappa, a labourer and resident of Sanathnagar. Preliminary enquiries by the police revealed that Kashappa was missing from his home since Sunday evening and is suspected to have fallen into the lake accidentally. The body was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

11-yr-old boy killed in road accident

An 11-year-old boy suffered grievous injuries after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle.

The accident occurred in Indira Nagar of Gajula Ramaram in Jeedimetla police limits on Sunday evening. The victim, Md Adnan, was playing near his residence when he was hit and run by an unknown vehicle. He was immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Three pedestrians killed in road accidents

In separate cases, three pedestrians were killed in road accidents at different places in the city.

A 45-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a BMW car opposite Moulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Gachibowli police limits on Monday morning. The deceased, P Raghuvulu, a gardener in MANUU, met with the accident while trying to cross the road. He was a resident of Telecom Colony Huts.

In another case, 32-year-old Najma Begum, a resident of Nallakunta, succumbed to the injuries which she suffered after she was hit by a motorcycle near Raniganj Bus Stop on January 24. She was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where she died on Sunday night, Ramgopalpet police said.

In a different case, a 35-year-old tailor, P Ramesh, died on the spot when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle near his residence near Bible House in Gandhi Nagar police limits.

One killed in road accident

A 45-year-old man died of injuries which he sustained when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by another bike in Pet Basheerabad police limits.

The victim, K Appa Rao of Medchal, met with the accident near Pet Basheerabad crossroads on January 7 . He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Sunday night.
