Pocharam assures farmers on waiving off farm loans

Hyderabad, June 6 : Telangana Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Friday appealed to the farmers not to resort to agitation over the issue of loan waiver scheme.

Speaking to media persons after hold a review meeting with the officials at the State Secretariat here, Pocharam said that the farmers need not worry about the implementation of promise on waiving off farm loans. He said that the government would implement the promise in letter and spirit. He said that the TRS Government has just assumed the charge and all details have been sought from the bankers on the issue.

Pocharam said that the officials have been directed to ensure proper supply of fertilizers and seeds to the farmers for the Kharif season. He said district-wise targets have been fixed for the officials and a district-level meeting on the farmers’ issue would be held on June 13. He said that the government would also promote Horticulture sector at large scale.  INN
