Owaisi challenges Modi to contest from Hyderabad

Hyderabad, March 2 : MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday challenged BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to contest from Hyderabad Lok Sabha in next elections.

Addressing a meeting at Darulsalaam on the occasion of MIM’s 56th anniversary, Owaisi said that Modi’s popularity was a nothing but hype being created by the Sangh Parivar to polarise the elections. He said if Modi was so confident about his popularity, then he must contest and win from Hyderabad to test his real worth. He also claimed that MIM was unbeatable in Hyderabad and no political party has a candidate to contest against MIM.

Owaisi also announced that he would campaign against Modi in different parts of the country.

The MIM chief said that there was no strong leadership for about 15 crore Muslims at the national level. He appealed to the Muslims to unite to defeat the communal forces in the country. He also asked the MIM cadre to organise themselves and make optimum use of social media network to ensure over 80 per cent polling in the next elections.

Speaking about bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, he opposed giving Law and Order powers to Governor. He demanded that the Law and Order should be handled by Telangana Government. He also demanded a separate power project for Hyderabad and 20 TMC feet of water for the twin cities.

Owaisi called for unity among Dalits, BCs and minorities to defeat communal forces in the country. He expressed concern over some leaders like Ram Vilas Paswan joining the NDA to support Modi’s candidature.

MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi recalled the services of MIM for the community for the last five decades. He said that the MIM need to win 10 to 15 Assembly seats to strengthen the cause of Muslims and other oppressed sections of Telangana.

MIM legislators, corporators and other leaders and workers were present in large numbers. INN
