Govt revives cultural academies

Hyderabad, Jan 4 : Tourism Minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar on Saturday informed the State Legislative Assembly that the State Government has revived Sahitya, Sangeeta, Nataka and Fine Arts Academies in the State.

Replying to a query raised by MLA A Rajender in the Assembly during Question Hour, the minister said that an amount of Rs 3 crore has been allocated under Plan and Rs 50 lakh budget has been allocated under Non-Plan by the government for the financial year 2013-14. The programmes under the academies are yet to be taken up, he said. INN
