202 Flight Cadets to get commissioned into IAF

Hyderabad, Dec 12 : The Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) and Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne will review the Combined Gradation Parade (CGP) at the Air Force Academy at Dundigal on Saturday and confer Commission on behalf of the President of India, to 202 Flight Cadets including 37 women for their induction in the mainstream of the IAF.

He will also award flying brevets to 6 Indian Navy officers and one Indian Coast Guard officers on their successful completion of one year rigorous flying training at Air Force Academy.

The Flight Cadet of flying branch standing first in overall order of merit will be awarded President’s Plaque and Sword of Honour and will also have the privilege of Commanding the parade contingent. Similarly, Flight Cadets of Navigation branch and the Ground Duty branches i.e. Administration, Accounts, Logistics and Education & Meteorology will also be awarded the President’s Plaque each for standing first in overall order of merit.

On the penultimate day on Friday, Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne will be attending a Ceremonial Guest Night with graduating cadets and their parents, wherein he will award trophies to the Flight Cadets for excelling in their streams. INN
