The Mayor said that he was not at all satisfied with the activities of Entomology wing and further directed to take up special drive in each and every school starting from tomorrow.

Majid Hussain enquired about Rs. 10 crores of special budget allocated for Dengue prevention, which was allocated in view of sudden increase in number of cases of dengue last year (total cases reported last year 604). He further directed the officials that the lion share of public money should reach public at any cost.

The Mayor further enquired about the Binami (ghost) workers and directed the Chief Entomologist to furnish the unit wise details by tomorrow along with the phone number of each worker in order to get verified with the concerned Corporator or through a private agency. The officials of Entomology wing informed the Mayor that they are conducting brain storming sessions for absconding workers. Reacting to that, the Mayor said that there was no necessity for conducting brains storming sessions for absconders, they could be straight away removed from the job, as there is no dearth for employment seekers and further said that pressure from Corporators and unions is his headache for removing the absconders.

Senior Entomologists Lachi Reddy, Vijay Kumar and Namala Srinivas and all 20 Assistant Entomologists have participated in the meeting. INN
