Sikhs to observe 407 martyrdom of 5th Sikh Guru

Hyderabad, June 15 : The members of the Sikh community will observe the 407th Martyrdom of Fifth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Devji, on a large scale on Sunday at Gurudwara Saheb Barambala, Sikh Chawniat at Kishanbagh.

In this connection, the Prabhandak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb, Sikh Chawni, Uppuguda, will organise a Vishaal Deewan (Mass Congregation) between 11 AM and 3.30 PM where about 10,000 Sikh devotees and other community faiths will converge at the Congregation.

Prabhandak Committee Chairman S Jahan Singh said that in the Vishaal Deewan (Mass Congregation) renowned Ragi Jathas (community preachers) have been invited from different parts of the country to render Shabad Keertans (Holy Hymns) and throw light on the teachings of Guru Arjan Devji and other Sikh Gurus who have laid down their lives for the sake the country.
