Hyderabad, July 27 (INN): TRS leader and State Planning Commission deputy chairman Niranjan Reddy alleged that the opposition parties were indulging in anti-development politics and were going against the interests of the State.
Niranjan Reddy told the media persons that the Opposition was making a needless controversy on the Mallanna Sagar project and accused them of colluding with the anti-Telangana forces. The Opposition had no knowledge of the projects and trying to confuse the people besides provoking the farmers, he fumed.
Addressing a separate press conference, Government Whip and Alair MLA G. Sunitha said that the Mallana Sagar would benefit five districts. However, she alleged that the opposition parties wants the people of Telangana to remain deprived of their share in Godavari and Krishan rivers by stalling irrigation projects. She asked Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy and TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy to clarify on their role in developing irrigation facility in Nalgonda districts.
Sunitha claimed that the compensation package offered under GO 123 was better than the incentives assured under Land Acquisition Act, 2013. (INN)
