Crop loan waiver promise will be fulfilled: Dy CM

Warangal, April 19 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari has assured that the second installment of Rs 4,250 crore towards crop loan waiver would be released soon.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, the Deputy CM said that the State Government has already paid Rs 4,250 to various banks towards the first installment of crop loan waiver up to Rs 1 lakh for about 34.45 lakh farmers in 2014-15. He said another amount of Rs 4,250 crore has been earmarked in budget 2015-16 and the same would be released soon.

Stating that the Telangana Government would fulfill its promise of waiving off crop loan up to Rs 1 lakh, Kadiam urged the farmers not to get misled with the propaganda being carried out by the opposition parties.
