Hyderabad, March 16 (INN): MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has advised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to emulate former CM Dr YS Rajasehkara Reddy in taking up welfare of minorities.
Participating in the debate on State budget in Telangana Legislative Assembly on Monday, Akbaruddin Owaisi said YSR was the only Chief Minister who took practical measures for the development of minorities, especially Muslims. He said YSR’s role in giving four per cent reservation to Muslims in jobs and education could not be forgotten ever. He said it was YSR who took liberal decisions and extended benefits like fee reimbursement, scholarships, Aarogyasri and loans to the minorities. He said YSR was completely honest in his approach and really wanted the minorities to grow up in their lives and careers.
Akbaruddin Owaisi claimed that the chair of Leader of the House in Assembly always reminds him of YSR. He said KCR should emulate YSR and take practical steps for the development of minorities in Telangana State.
