Hyderabad, March 4 (INN): The Speakers of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assemblies on Wednesday jointly reviewed the arrangements for the forthcoming budget session starting from March 7.
Since the Legislatures of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are having simultaneous sessions, the Speakers – S Madhusudan Chary (TS) and Dr Kodel Siva Prasad Rao (AP), along with Legislature Secretaries S Raja Sadaram (TS) and K Satyanarayana Rao (AP), held a high level review meeting today to finalise the arrangements. During the meeting, held in the chambers of the AP Assembly Speaker, it has been decided that the AP’s Assembly session will begin at 9 am while Telangana legislature will start functioning from 10 AM. The one-hour gap would minimise the traffic congestions in the Assembly premises.
While the convoys of Chief Ministers of both the States would have free movement in the Assembly, there will be restrictions on the entry and exit points and parking of vehicles of all legislatures. Except for ministers, the vehicles of all MLAs and MLCs of both the States will be parked in Public Garden. While no visitor will be allowed in the lobbies of both the Assemblies, limited passes will be issued for Visitors’ Galleries.
One SP rank police official will be deputed by both the States for better coordination of security and other arrangements.
Later, the Speakers held separate meetings with the DGPs and other senior police officials on the security arrangements for the budget sessions.
