Hyderabad, Feb 16 (INN): BJP National Executive member and former minister Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Monday strongly criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao while accusing him of acting like a monarch.
Speaking to media persons here, Nagam said that KCR could declare himself to be 8th Nizam, if he wished, and construct a palace on 1,000 acres of lands. However, he had no right to impose decisions that causes inconvenience to the common people. Referring to the Chief Minister’s decision to shift Chest Hospital from Erragadda to Viqarabad, he said it would affect thousands of patients suffering from chronic ailments. Reacting to the High Court dismissing his petition against the hospital shifting, he said that the High Court had only refused to intervene in the matter that has no constitutional obligations.
Nagam said he would build public opinion against the State Government’s decision. He said he would write letters to the Chief Minister and all ministers to review the decision. Further, he said he would request all legislatures to raise the issue during the forthcoming budget session of the State Legislative Assembly and Council.
