Hyderabad, Jan 31 (INN): TRS senior leader and incharge of Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency Rashid Shareef has stated that the TRS Government has begun the process of eradicating crime from the Old City of Hyderabad.
In a media statement here on Saturday, Rashid Shareef thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali and Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy for taking steps to eradicate crime from the Old City of Hyderabad. Following representations made by the TRS leaders of Old City, the Hyderabad City Police has launched an intensive campaign against criminals and organised crimes. While taking severe action against the illegal financiers, notorious criminals have been detained under the PD Act.
The South Zone police also launched a special drive to rescue child labour and more than 200 children have been rescued from hazardous occupations. He said that the TRS Government would soon launch a massive drive on the issue of security of women in the Old City.
Rashid Shareef said that the TRS Government was firm on restoring the lost glory of Old City of Hyderabad. He said in order to regain the image of ‘Asli Hyderabad’ for the present Old City, it was essential that the present government undo the injustices done to the region by previous regimes. He said it was at the Chief Minister’s instance that the South Zone police closed the rowdy sheets of more than 200 innocent youth. He said several innocent youths were implicated in fake cases and consequently their history sheets were opened in different police stations.
Following representation made by the local TRS leaders, he claimed that the Deputy CM pursued the matter with Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and ensured closure of nearly 200 rowdy sheets. He said while previous governments harassed innocent youth by opening their rowdy sheets, the present TRS Government wants innocent youth to lead a dignified life. Unlike other political parties, he said that the TRS Government would never exploit the youth for political gains.
The TRS leader also thanked the Chief Minister for the decision of construction of Hyderabad Rubaat in Ajmer. He said thousands of devotees from Telangana who visit Dargah Hazrath Khaja Ghareeb Nawaz in Ajmer Shareef would benefit from the same.
