Hyderabad, Jan 23 (INN): The death toll due to Swine flu in Telangana State has reached 20 on Friday.
Speaking to media persons here, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) Director Dr L Narendranath said all precautions were being taken to prevent the spread of Swine flu. He said Swine flu vaccines and medicines have been dispatched to all District Area Hospitals. He said so far, as many as 249 cases of Swine flu came were reported from across the State. They include 142 cases in Hyderabad, 60 in Ranga Reddy, 11 in Mahabubnagar, five in Media and one case each in Adilabad and Khammam district.
Dr Ravindranath said that the Central team has observed that the impact of Swine flu is on the decline. However, he asked people to take all precautions at their levels. He said that the media staff is being trained for the safe and effective handling of Swine Flu cases.
