New Delhi, Jan 23 (INN): Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya met Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda here on Friday to find solutions for the outburst of swine flu in Telangana.
In response to request by Dattatraya, the Health Minister had deputed a three member Central Team to study the situation. In addition, request has been made to Nadda for sanctioning of special funds to improve the infrastructure in the Osmania and Gandhi Government Hospitals to deal with this situation. The Labour Minister has also requested to establish a research and virology laboratory centre at Hyderabad in order to reduce the response time in dealing with swine flu disease.
Due to the outburst of swine flu in Telangana about 20 people have died. Most of the affected people are middle aged and the disease is severe in many remote and tribal areas of Mahabubnagar and Karimnagar, and also in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.
