Hyderabad, Sept 9 (INN): Telangana DGP Anurag Shrarma on Tuesday congratulated all the policemen in the State capital and other parts of the State for their unstinted and efficient efforts in the successful conduction of the 11-day Ganesh Chavithi celebrations in the State.
The DGP said there were no untoward incidents and people from all sections cooperated and coordinated with the police machinery to make this festival grand success in the state.
“Around 50,000 police men were deployed in the State including Hyderabad and Cyberabad who all strived day and night in the tough task of maintaining law and order to enable a smooth and incident free conduction of the Ganesh Nimajjanam event. Besides CCTVs, large number of patrolling units and escorts were organized for each Ganesh committee in the procession. Traffic and routes of idols were on pre- arranged and established to regulate flow of huge masses and make the event enjoyable and also incident free and trouble free,” the DGP said.
Anurag Sharma particularly congratulated all the Superintendents of Police of all districts in the state besides the Commissioners of Police of Hyderabad and Cyberabad and the members of Peace Committees and various associations of the civil society for their coordinated efforts and vigil that made this festival grand success.
