Nayani blames railways for Masayipet mishap

Hyderabad, July 24 : Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy blamed the South Central Railway for the bus-train mishap which claimed the lives of at least 17 school children here on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons after visiting the injured at Yashoda Hospital here, Nayani said that the railways was never serious in erecting the gates at unmanned railway crossings. He said proper precaution by the SCR would have prevented this tragedy. He demanded that the Union Ministry of Railways should announce a relief package for the victims of Masayipet mishap and also take immediate steps to prevent such cases in future.  INN
